We are thrilled to announce the 9th Annual Boston Palestine Film Festival, presented in partnership with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, featuring 10 days of compelling, thought-provoking Palestinian narratives and a dazzling array of guest speakers.

BPFF2015 features works from directors around the world that offer refreshingly honest, self-described, and independent views of Palestine and its history, culture, and geographically dispersed society.

The festival opens with Eyes of a Thief, by Najwa Najjar on Friday, October 16 at 7 pm at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Director Najjar will be in attendance.

We close with On the Bride?s Side by Antonio Augugliaro, Khaled Soliman Al-Nassiry, and Gabriele Del Grande on Sunday, October 25 at 3 pm at the MFA. Director Del Grande will be in attendance.

This year?s program also includes something new: Palestinians, Live! is an evening of true personal stories shared by local Palestinians in a cabaret setting, with instrumental Middle Eastern music.

Bring your pumpkin to one of the drop-off areas alongside the pond. We will illuminate them and float them for you. Watch as the pond fills up with glowing pumpkins.

Your carved and decorated jack-o?-lanterns must be 8? in diameter, or smaller, and already hollowed out or they will not float. After the event they will be used to make compost for the city?s gardens.

Comics are where language and images meet, and independent comics explore the full potential of that medium: fiction, action, memoir, history, humor and more. During MICE, hundreds of indie comics artists and small press publishers exhibit their creations, and thousands of attendees from the Greater Boston area turn out to meet them.

MICE has grown steadily in size and scope since its beginnings in 2010, always maintaining free admission to the public. On October 17-18, join Team USA athletes, including Olympians Nastia Liukin, Dara Torres and Ryan Lochte during the Head of the Charles Regatta event in Boston for the third stop of the ?Road to Rio? celebration ? a touring event that brings the magic of the Olympic Games to life by giving fans a chance to be summer Olympians for a day.

Activities will include meet-and-greets with multiple Team USA athletes, interactive events such as long jump, high jump and high dive, and much more! The event will be held at the Weld Exhibition area next to the Weeks Bridge from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

Members of the public will have the opportunity to learn about the scientific side of the culinary arts during the 2015 Science and Cooking public lecture series. The popular lecture series pairs Harvard professors with celebrated food experts and renowned chefs to showcase the science behind different culinary techniques.

Now in its sixth year, the series is organized by Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS).

The public lectures are based on the Harvard course ?Science and Cooking: From Haute Cuisine to the Science of Soft Matter,? but do not replicate course content.

All talks will take place in the Harvard Science Center (1 Oxford St., Cambridge, Mass., Hall C) and begin at 7 p.m., unless otherwise noted

Each presentation will begin with a 15-minute lecture by a faculty member from the Harvard course, which will discuss one of the scientific topics from that week?s class
